“On the Mountain” Torah Portion

Leviticus 25-26:2 Every seven years, the fields have a Sabbath to lay fallow.  Every fifty years is the Jubilee, a release of all debts and return to original family land claims. Houses in a walled city may be redeemed within a year; they are not released in the Jubilee.  Levites, however, have no sizable land holdings, and their cities and houses are their possession in the land.  Levites’ city houses must be released, like other tribes’ land holdings.  When a brother is down, do not treat him harshly.

Jeremiah 32:6-27 Even as the city was falling, there was a promise of returning His people to Israel.

Luke 4:16-21  Yashua reads Isaiah 61, proclaiming release and Jubilee.

Galatians 5:1-13 Salvation is not in circumcision, but freedom comes from Yashua.

Psalm 119:1-8  His Law is blessing.  Though not the means of salvation, it is a blessing upon our living and our relationship with YHWH.

Say – Torah Portion

Leviticus 21 Odd how Levitical priests must avoid the dead to perform their service (exempting their family duties), while the Catholic priests are expected to be around for all the deaths in their congregation. Whoring of the daughter profanes herself and her father, alike.  A priest in active duty cannot come near the dead, period.  He cannot take a widow for wife; I suppose the widow of a brother must find another kinsman redeemer who isn’t a priest.
Leviticus 22 The offering and the one presenting the offering must both be without defect. The deformed Levite is not excluded from eating offerings, but he cannot approach the altar or the Veil. The bought slave had a right to eat offerings; the hired hand did not.
Leviticus 23 Sabbath every weekPassover on 1/14;  Unleavened Bread on 1/15, lasting seven days, gatherings and no sevile work on the first and seventh days; First Fruits; Counting Omer, from the morrow after the Sabbath you count fifty days, bring
new grain offering on Festival of Weeks.

The poor and the stranger are to be welcome to glean excess grain – they were assisted, yet had to work for the substance they needed – no “free” handouts, but a welcome opportunity to work for themselves and eat what they needed.
Feast of Trumpets on 7/1 a day of rest, remembrance, and gathering;                                    Day of Atonement 7/10, no work, afflict yourself, Sabbath;
Festival of Booths 7/15, set-apart gathering and no work on first and eighth days, offerings all week. Gather fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees,
and willows of the stream. Rejoice before YHWH seven days, dwell in booths for seven days.
24 No jails, prisons, or chains.  At the word of two or three witnesses, you repay with your money or your life. If innocent, you pay nothing at all, not even time waiting in a cell or paying bond.
The only detainment ocurred when the penalty was not yet clarified. No waiting for months to decide guilt or penalty.  Two witnesses = Guilty, Murder = Death, Theft=Repay

Ezekiel 44:15-31 Are the priests and YHWH a picture of Yashua and His Church?  Whatever is the husband’s becomes the wife’s portion.
Most of what YHWH recieves, he gives to his priests who give to His Children, providing for His “bride” and family.

Luke 11:1-12:59 Be persistent in prayer. “…Every reign divided against itself is laid waste, and a house divided against a house falls.” Sounds like a particular organization I am watching waste away. “The men of Nineweh shall rise up in the judgement with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Yonah, and look, a greater than Yonah is here.”  Unrepented (no turning away from) sin will be condemned, repentence after sin finds acceptance. If you have the keyes to knowledge, go in to it and do not hinder others from accessing it.

OKGOP Moves Back to Phone Booth for Meetings — Finding Gems and Sharing Them

My headline would be OKGOP moves back to the phone booth for meetings. I would note that attendance continues to decline even though it is a presidential year. Then when discussion moved to issues, the mask really comes off notably on right to bear arms and pro-life facade for party. Many will be moving to Independent status or other parties. Most will stop giving funds to the GOP and giving directly to more trustworthy candidates and grassroots efforts. In fact I think I’ll go write an article on topic now… see article here >>>Finding Gems & Sharing Them – Sandra Crosnoe – OKGOP Moves Back to Phone Booth for Meetings

Life like a Puzzle

Picture puzzles are a little like life,

Confusing at times but they all fit in,

However, a picture of it all together,

Aids our hands in placing the pieces.

That’s what our LORD does with His plans for our life.

He tells us in His Book that the pieces fit in,

To make a perfect picture of our life with Him.

“After the Death” Torah Portion

Notes from My Torah Study

Leviticus 16 Authorities must atone for their own sins before making intercession for others.

(Plank out of your own eye, then help people with specks.)

Position does not make them infallible, but if anything, makes them more responsible for sin.

When he makes atonement, the priest has no audience, but the tangible presence YHWH, the only One Whom he should care to please.

Any leader should be thus humbled before his maker, mindful of his responsibility and conscious of the ultimate Authority Whom he must serve before thinking to please any mortal.

In obeying his God first, the leader is serving his fellow men best.

17 v.3&4 ???Does this apply to any slaughter for food, or only to slaughter for worship???

v.11 “…For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the slaughter-place to make atonement for your lives, for it is the blood that makes atonement for the life.”

18 Don’t live by Egyptian or Canaanite standards; do this YHWH’s way and live.

Ezekiel 22:1-19 America, fear and repent.

John 7 v.19 “Did not Mosheh give you the Torah? Yet not one of you does the Torah! Why do you seek to kill Me?” Yashuah had issue with those ignoring Torah.

v.24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” Forget appearances before an audience. Serve with righteousness.

Nehemiah 9 Given much, now we are servants and slaves.
