Five years ago, man in his 90s made an impression on me. I believe he was 92 at the time. There was a pen full of vivacious yearling bulls that I was nervous to step into, but this man shuffled his way through the middle of it. He had bred these Beefmasters to be docile, and he fed them from from his hand as he talked with the buyer and looked them over. He knew what he wanted his stock to be. He accomplished breeding these beautiful, hardy, sweet-tempered cattle, and they’re a wonder to see.
